Jürgen
Möllers, Ph.D.
Jürgen
is the founder and president of Storyzon. Born in Germany,
Jürgen studied literature and philosophy in Europe and the U.S. His interest
in the unfolding of people's life stories was reflected early on in his Ph.D. thesis on
the interplay of history, chance, and our deliberate actions. Before immigrating to the U.S. about fifteen years ago, Jurgen lived and worked
in several European countries. He has experience in publishing and marketing and has been formally trained in
the process of creating personal histories by Germany's best-known personal history
agency, the Medienbüro, in Berlin. He is also a published writer who has developed
and taught numerous workshops over the past six years. His
passion for storytelling is based on a deep appreciation for the miraculous unfolding
of our lives.
Elizabeth
A. Wright, M.A.
Founder of History In Progress, Elizabeth has been a personal and organizational
historian since 1984. As a workshop leader, consultant, mentor, and speaker,
she has assisted many people in the creation of their life stories for about
two decades. She holds a master's degree in anthropology and is a former vice
president and active member of the Association of Personal Historians. She
is also a member of the Oral History Association, the Southwest Oral History
Association, and the National Council of Public History, and is an organizer
of the annual Morrissey Workshop in San Francisco. An avid promoter of the
growing field of personal history, Elizabeth offers consulting services and
conducts interviews for Storyzon.
Kristen
Burns
Kristen
holds a degree in English literature from the State University
of New York at Stony Brook and did additional graduate
work at the University of Washington before launching
two businesses on her own. She not only brings her experience
as a writer and group facilitator to the company but
also her organizational and team building skills. Kristen
is both a project and program manager at Storyzon and
coordinates most operational and personnel processes.
Andreas
Jones
Andreas is a graphic designer who has lived in the Bay Area for over two decades.
He has a bachelor's degree in fine art from UC Berkeley, where he specialized
in etching and lithography and created limited-edition art books. Over the
last 12 years he has been art director of several publications, including the East
Bay Monthly and the MacArthur Metro. He is currently the principal
graphic designer for the Berkeley Symphony Orchestra.
Chris Westphal, M.A. 
Chris holds a Masters Degree in Professional Writing from the University of Southern California and has more than thirty years experience as a professional writer. He is a published novelist and non-fiction author, as well as a produced network television writer. His work as a journalist has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, Contra Costa Times, and San Jose Mercury News, as well as several nationally published magazines.
Lila
LaHood, M.S.
Lila is a freelance writer based in San Francisco. Lila spent three years working
as a business writer for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram in Fort Worth,
Texas. She has also written for the San Jose Mercury News, the Kansas
City Star, and the Contra Costa Times. Lila enjoys writing profiles
that capture the personality and entrepreneurial spirit of successful businesses.
Lila studied international relations at Stanford University and holds a master's
degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
Bill Scheinman 
Bill Scheinman is a published novelist and short story writer and has worked as an editor, journalist, and grant writer. He is the co-founder of Stress Reduction At Work and is the lead meditation instructor at the San Francisco County Jail. His first novel has just been made into a movie.
Rachel
Markowitz
Rachel does what others might consider grunt workchecking spelling and
punctuation, making sure names are spelled right, catching dangling modifiersand
does it with joy. After completing studies in French and English, Rachel worked
as a proofreader for Macy's West Advertising in San Francisco, where poring over
the fine print provided her with some of her best training. She has worked on
materials ranging from catalogs to magazines to websites.
